Table of Samsara and Jātismara
A spinning wheel and a game using the game in Gestation Bhāratavarṣa . The
Samsara (संसार) is the cycle of reincarnation. The act of Jātismara (जातिस्मर, "Memory of birth") is the act of remembering his past lives (one to jātismar is one who has that rare ability to have these memories, usually a ṛṣi , a seer-prophet). The
jātismarā in Hindu texts seems to remember all his Lives (and even before he remembered it, even when he was in animal form), but in the game, we can consider this as a sort of jurisdiction very partial of life, at least until we do not reach the score of at least 1 in Jātismara . In short, the character can make a jet to remember snatches of a life to help in the present situation and treated it as just a flashback created by the player by spending a point of Karman. In
Bhāratavarṣa , there may be two options :
- You choose your character by creating one or more past lives, karma the ensuing, skills or connections drawn from it.
- You pull on the Great Cakraṃ of Jātismara (also called more soberly Table of Random Reminiscences ).
Start a d20.
1) - 2) You were a beast. Remove the sub-table of the Animals. You now have a link with these animals and can communicate with them.
3) You were of low origin (barbarian or untouchable). This gives you is a shameful secret, a dash of compassion for the lower castes. You can search for the unfortunate family of your incarnation.
4) Bad Karma ! You had violated the Dharma (eg being a kshatriya has outraged brahmana !) And you must atone. Add a Dark Secret, a Curse or a desire to redeem yourself ascetic.
5) You were a monstrous Yaksa a Rākṣasaḥ or even a minor Asura. You have been killed by a hero or a God, or meditating to overcome this status asura. You kept a strange magic and a link with some Asuras.
6) Great Love! You were bound to someone by the arrows of Kama itself and you still looking for the reincarnation of another (to shoot dice to know what sex he / she has reincarnated (e), unless c is only a bhuta / preta, a ghost). Your purusartha is perhaps the Kama . You also have to sacrifice everything This exclusive passion, which takes you away from the release cycle.

I liked the presentation Cyclades the last World Game and I could do a guest appearance this weekend. The purpose
the game is to be the first to build two cities in this imaginary archipelago of islands and each player must manage its resources for the favor of the gods (in bidding for a sacrifice to God at every turn).
We can do nothing without these sacrifices must be sacrificed to Ares recruiting armies or to move them to Poseidon to raise fleets or move. As there is at most a player who has the favor of Ares every turn, this makes it very successive movements, except that they may obtain the favor of a mythological monster (there are 17) and some powers closer to God. The Pythagoreans sacrificed greatly Ares and Poseidon to prepare for a massive invasion, but the chance that Athena would be pretty high in the priorities for this round. Sparta managed to accumulate as the "philosophers" (presumably "Lycurgus" or foreigners) without noticing that the Pythagoreans, which allowed me to win my second city, Eris, by surprise (finally, these screens that hide resources are used).
Rereading the rules, I realize that two, we should have gone to the 3rd Precinct to finish, but it would have made the game drag on and the first part had still last 1:30. I remain a casual gamer as it is not role playing but the game seems very much alive. But it will take 2-3 parts test before seeing the longevity of the game

The world has had to borrow directly from the game Team International Zargo's Lords and off-set of Casus SangDragon (1994) reveal that the past is Zargos the same world that it proposes to have all the universe Casus Belli of , of alarian to Laelith (idea absurd, but I find great course).

From Art Equestrian by Bruce Heard gives rules on riders and tournaments for AD & D, with an Order of the Squires, which seems to be a sort of medium between "competence" (as several character classes can be enter) and a character class.

alarian Journey into a module is not AD & D but a change with a "countryside setting " A country fantasy intrigue with a few ideas but no feature. The introduction justifies the need to move to a world campaign, not primarily for reasons of "narrative" but for reasons of "fun", to avoid inconsistent GrosBill who invents arbitrarily their past. Alarian a medieval country is relatively simple and low-fantasy, directed by King Khalidan in the capital Talbeth Hav-. The country is threatened to the north by the invasions conventional humanoid barbarians Czar and triceratops fur (which are described in the module AD & D Moon wave " Casus Belli No. 20) and south by the neighboring kingdom of Rhagarron (led by Dolgener II, cousin of King Khalidan). But inside, the country is experiencing both thieves fighting against the excesses of corrupt police Khalidan proselytizing and worship of Noirsceau , evil, evil religion led by Osztarnaüs Raven (like the Skull in Laelith). The population is human, but there is a elven kingdom to the east, with an enclave in the port of Alaëhn . Alarian not as marked as Laelith, partly because Casus did in fact never really developed. As mentioned above, alarian is supposed to be east of the Archipelago Malienda and west of Laelith according Casus Special Edition No. 11 (April 1994).
An advertisement for the Games in Descartes back cover of this issue provides an overview of logos of the company. I pass on the logo at the beginning (sort of hex numbers 1-3). The portrait of the philosopher fails player first rather then be a disaster.

Runes is the fanzine of Henri and Dominique Balczezak, the ATOLL (Toulouse Association of organizing leisure games). A major difference is that Casus is entirely devoted to role-play from the start while Casus was over 50% on wargames.
This first issue introduces the " There is no fool job" devoted to character classes of AD & D with summary tables on two pages. This No. 1 Thief, No. 2 Clerc, the No. 3 Fighter, No. 4 Magus, No. 5 Butcher (parody of new classes), No. 6 Assassin, No. 7, the Druid, the Paladin No. 8, No. 9 Ranger (and the last issue No. 10 took one of the first). Runes often fussy in the commentary of obscure details of AD & D, which was not always translated (there are 3 pages just on the interpretation of rules Initiative). The issue even has a quiz on the rules. One of the editors
also a proposal to use AD & D to simulate superheroes (Spider-Man has a Force 20 and the fate Spiderweb ). An extension of the original idea has recently led to the game retro Hideout & Hoodlums , which incorporates a variation of OD & D.

RuneQuest was created by Steve Perrin as a generic role-playing but it was from the beginning rather centered on the mythical world of Greg Stafford, Glorantha . The barbarians of Orlanth Sartar more like a mixture of Celtic, Anglo-Saxon and Viking ships, but without the first examples could suggest a more complex mixture, more Greco-Roman (high in Asterix, I saw rather Orlanth by Celts and Romans in Lunar but some chose to see Sartarites - albeit slightly more urbanized than the usual Barbarians - Greeks in the face of Moon Persians).
In the 3rd edition RuneQuest tried for a while to become much more "generic" with the release of RuneQuest Vikings (1985, analysis on the GROG ) by Greg Stafford (who also came out on his Pendragon Arthurian myth).
The very title of RuneQuest had always seemed enough skiing (although the pictograms Runes gloranthiennes Stafford had relatively little to do with Futhark) and the style of the sagas had influenced many legends about the hero " Harrek Bear Blanc" (which appears from the wargame White Bear and Red Moon ). But most of the magic system of RuneQuest relatively low fantasy and less powerful compared to other games with smaller combat spells fairly discreet, able to adapt quite well to the atmosphere of the sagas. There is therefore relatively few necessary modifications.
The high quality of the supplement (which total about 150 pages if you include all the lists of NPC) is the inclusion of an entire campaign in the south-western Norway. Members of a clan of Ulf Hafursfjord in Rogaland learn the various aspects of life in Scandinavia, with a hunt, a visit to Thing, a raid on enemy shipping and maritime transport more distant (where Stafford likes to include race gloranthienne Children of the Winds as encounter exotic). Stafford is a bit like he did in Pendragon gradually introducing the characters, immersing players into the North.
The new supplement Vikings RuneQuest (Mongoose, 2010) by Pete Nash is scheduled for publishing called " RuneQuest II" (that is to say according to the ways in which we account 4.5 or the 5th edition?). There are many long tables random events such as children. Apart from that, the outputs include the module by Gary Gygax WG4 Forgotten Temple Of The Tharizdun , play superhero Champions (the second edition ) and the dark play on foot in full War Vietnam Recon (first edition, the following is taken from then Palladium).
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner a thematic unit with three plant monsters Bruce Heard with sketches in a sectional Guiserix: the green octopus , The Orchid Gobe-all vampiric plant and . The Bizarre Bazaar has again translations, but this time Dragon # 58, February 1982, in the special issue of Roger E. Moore Dwarfs: The Helm Guile underground (to better identify the architectural details) and the Great Anvil Dwarves (which can be best blacksmith, but the treasure seems very difficult to transport).

In RuneQuest , Divine Intervention is easy but very expensive: an insider of a God has a percentage chance equal to its score in power and you lose a number of power points equal to the number on the dice (he So a 1% chance of losing all his points and lose his soul). Here, however, the ad hoc system looks a bit like RoleMaster : we throw a d100 with the bonus level (+1 / 2 or Level / Level for priestly classes) or situation (+15 a crusade or a temple) and then determines whether the appeal was heard by a simple up / Einherjar / valkyrie of God or by God himself (if the end result is greater than 100). The Casus No. 10 proposed a Auberge du Troll Jester and this module begins with a second, the Auberge de la Sudden Death innkeeper's Bretzel (one client called Iapudklinex). There are a series of small dungeons quite successful with a little story. One of the findings is that in addition to the plan included a drawing Guiserix outdoors, allowing a better viewing together.
The mini-game, Duel on Zloog is quite original. It's kind of fighting game for two players where everyone has an astronaut crashed in the marshes of the asteroid Zloog. Everyone should try to find something to leave his ship while fighting against the random encounters.

The No. 11 is the first issue of Casus after the departure of FMF (now marked as "founder"), leaving only Guiserix as editor until the end. Guiserix talk of a new generation of RPGs, "clearer and more attractive to the novice." But curiously, D & D will remain unbeatable in this issue, even Dragon, the official magazine of TSR was not then also D & D-centric. The

Ögmundr was monstrous as a troll and had a blue skin and black, with a large tuft hence its nickname Flóki . They made a great ritual of trance ( seidr ) to make it invulnerable. Ögmundr Eyþjóf killed the great hero, which earned him his nickname. His mother Grímhild turned into a flying monster with a human head ( finngálkn ) and decided Oddr first to tackle it.

Ögmundr Eyþjóf killed the great hero, which earned him his nickname. His mother Grímhild turned into a flying monster with a human head ( finngálkn ) and decided Oddr first to tackle it.

[Scandinavian Week] The Saga of Grim Hairy
The Grims saga loðinkinna is following the Saga of Ketil Salmon.

At the seaside, Grim found a great whale stranded and began to carve because the whale would make a feast. But a group of residents, led by Hreidarr the Bold, came to challenge the body and killed each other until the last two groups for the whale.
Grim was left alone in agony on the battlefield when the most monstrous of Trolls came to save him. Her nose was crooked and looked ugly and sordid. It calls itself " Geirríðr Gandvíkurekkja. She asked him to kiss her in payment and unite with it. Grim agreed to heart-cons because he owed his life and in the morning, he awoke to a beautiful woman, leaving a shell of Troll. This was the father of Ketill Hrafn, the first President of the Council of Iceland, Helgi and Stórólfur and the latter was the father of Hrafnhildr who was the grandmother of the hero Gunnar of Hlíðarendi.
